Problems I encounterd when working with Joomla

1.  If you are using any free or open source extensions they will most probably not work as you want. most of the time there are some glitches in CSS and you will have to manually edit the CSS code.
2.  Some Joomla themes/ extensions don't work well with WAMP server so I recommend you to use XAMPP instead of WAMP.
3. Disable php error reporting from your server. or else when you preview your site you will see a list of errors instead of the site.
4. Do keep backups of both site and database before doing any experiments. some extensions are act crazy and cant uninstall after installing. it will make a mess.
5. Here come the hardest part. if you are trying to host your site in a free server it will become a nightmare. there are quite a few hosting services that allow free hosting for Joomla but they didn't also worked for me well but here is the list.

1. First of all create a site map. how are the things gging to be connect with other. from pages to articles.

2. Then find a suitable theme for your site. most of the time rest of the Joomla CMS is available with the theme. trying to apply a theme after building the site is not going to work most of the time.

3. Start finding extensions you will need for your site. according to my experience this is  the hardest part. there are a lot so choose wisely.

4. Now you have all the ingredients start building. install your extensions and assign them as modules all over the site. its that simple but remember keep the site map in your mind.

5. After building the site test it and then host it.
